Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Spalding equipment and orders.
How do I properly inflate my Spalding basketball?
To ensure optimal performance, moisten the inflation needle before inserting it into the valve. Inflate the ball to the PSI range printed around the valve area, typically between 7 and 9 PSI for most official size basketballs.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor basketballs?
Indoor basketballs are typically made of genuine leather or high-end composite leather for maximum grip and feel, but they will wear down quickly on concrete. Outdoor or 'All-Surface' balls are made of durable rubber or specialized composite to withstand rougher asphalt surfaces.
How long does shipping take for portable hoop systems?
Due to the size and weight of basketball hoop systems, these items are shipped via ground freight. Standard delivery usually takes 7-10 business days depending on your location within the continental United States.
What is your return policy for equipment?
We offer a 30-day return window for items in their original, unused condition with all packaging intact. Please note that customized or engraved basketballs are final sale and cannot be returned.
Do Spalding backboards come with a warranty?
Yes, most of our residential backboards and hoop systems come with a limited warranty ranging from 1 to 5 years, covering manufacturing defects and structural integrity under normal play conditions.
Can I track my order once it has shipped?
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to the carrier's website to monitor your delivery progress.
